In 2000, the Equity Members of RubberNetwork established an organization that could take advantage of areas where a common approach would benefit all participants.

Continental AG

Image Continental AG manufactures and sells automotive systems and parts worldwide. It operates in six divisions: Chassis and Safety, Powertrain, Interior, Passenger and Light Truck Tires, Commercial Vehicle Tires, and ContiTech. Chassis and Safety division offers electronic brake systems, hydraulic brake systems, sensorics, passive safety and advanced driver assistance systems, and chassis components. Powertrain division provides gasoline systems, diesel systems, electronics, transmission products, sensors, hybrid electric vehicle components and systems, and turbochargers, as well as actuators, motor drives, and fuel supply systems. Interior division supplies body and security products; connectivity devices; commercial vehicles and special vehicles products, including digital tachograph, guidance, and control systems, as well as open automotive parts; instrumentation and display systems; interior modules comprising various products of cockpit; and audio and multimedia systems. Passenger and Light Truck Tires division develops and manufactures passenger and light truck tires for compact, medium-size, and full-size cars; tires for vans and light trucks; and high-performance racing tires. Commercial Vehicle Tires division offers bus, truck, and industrial tires, as well as off-the-road tires for original equipment and replacement markets. ContiTech division provides air spring systems; plastic surfacing materials used in vehicle interiors; conveyor belts for surface and underground mining operations; coating reinforcing materials; hoses and hose lines using fluid technology; drive belts, matched components, and belt-drive systems for vehicles, machinery, and equipment; engine and chassis mounts for the automotive industry, and anti-vibration and noise control products, as well as high-precision sealing elements for the chassis, brake, and steering system. The company was founded in 1871 and is based in Hanover, Germany.

Cooper Tires

Image Cooper Tire & Rubber Company manufactures and markets replacement tires primarily in North America and internationally. It produces car and light truck tires for independent tire dealers, wholesale distributors, regional and national retail tire chains, and other large automotive product retail chains. The company also produces passenger car, light truck, racing and motorcycle tires and markets these products to dealers in the replacement markets. In addition, it produces bias, radial light and medium truck tires, and off-the-road tires. Cooper Tire & Rubber Company was founded in 1913 and is based in Findlay, Ohio.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

It manufactures rubber tires for automobiles, trucks, buses, aviation, motorcycles, farm implements, earthmoving equipment, industrial equipment, and various other applications. The company also offers retread truck, and aviation and heavy equipment tires; manufactures and sells tread rubber and other tire retreading materials; provides automotive repair services; and manufactures and sells flaps for truck tires and other types of tires. In addition, it operates tire and auto service center outlets that offer products for retail sale, as well as provide automotive repair and other services. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company offers tires under the Goodyear, the Dunlop, the Kelly, the Fulda, the Debica, the Sava, and various other Goodyear owned house brands, as well as under the private-label brands. Hankook Tire Co.

ImageHankook Tire knows how to get around. The company is Korea's largest tire manufacturer and has customers that include Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Daihatsu, Renault, and Volvo. Hankook also makes inner tubes and alloy automotive wheels, and sells tires to the international automotive aftermarket. Hankook's global sales network spans 170 countries, and it has five research and development centers around the world. The company company began producing tires at its newest manufacturing plant in Hungary in 2007. Michelin has about a 6% stake in Hankook.

Kumho Tire Co.

In addition, it provides various technological services. The company was established as Samyang Tire Co. in 1960 and changed its name to KUMHO & Co., Ltd. after merging with KUMHO Industry in 1984. The name was further changed to Kumho Tire Co., Ltd. in 1996. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

The company was founded in 1832 and is headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
